Multi-featured calculator
Arijit De
|
|
QMath v2.25 is a multi-featured calculator. Its features include arithmetic calculations, factorization, conversion of units, and solving quadratic equations. It has a combination of a graphical interface and a command prompt, which facilitates performing calculations. QMath is a very easy to learn to use, and is accompanied by a lot of documentation. One of its unique features is the ability to perform conversions on the basis of user-defined conversion algorithms; 915718 bytes.

Phoenix Converter v4.0.1 is a unit
conversion software designed to help simplify the process of
converting units. Its simple and intuitive screens and menus allow
you to enter the available values and convert to one of hundreds of
units almost instantly. It also provides the option to include
additional units and conversion information; 1662595 bytes.

Visual environment for numerical computation
Kinh Huy Ha, Concordia University
|
|
CMAP is a comprehensive, compact
environment for numerical computation, graphics, and rapid
development of computational software. It has been designed to make
the application of mathematics a joy for both students and
instructors. CMAP seamlessly integrates built-in utilities (e.g. the
Units Converter, Date Converter, Fraction and Base Converters, and
the Expression-Evaluator) with a wide spectrum of calculus, vector
and matrix algebra, numerical methods (e.g. curve fitting,
optimization, interpolation, polynomial manipulation, non-linear
equations, ODE), statistics, graphics, finance, and visual
user-interface elements for application programming; 2482064 bytes.

Generates random numbers and strings
John Michael Williams
|
|
This program generates lists of nonnegative, 32-bit random
integers. It outputs these as decimal and hex integers; it follows
the numbers with a string of all printable ASCII characters in the
list. The string may be useful for crack-resistant password
composition. Lists may be cumulated and saved to disk; 85189 bytes.

32-bit Graphics Plotter
Richard Hayden,
|
|
PlotX v1.0.0 is a graphics plotter
which is useful for students or others investigating or doing work
involving graphing functions and then comparing them. Examples of
the possible graphs include, y = 2 * x or y = Tan(x) etc. It will
allow you to plot any legal graphs of y = a(x * x) + bx + c. You can
plot up to eight different expressions/graphs at a time. It is very
accurate and pretty fast, with multiple speed/accuracy settings;
946590 bytes.

Draws the graph on any non-calculus equation
Harry Rothwell |
| Drawmath draws the graph curve of any
non-calculus equation in one unknown which must be represented by
'X', between the X limits specified. It also lists the values of Y
for the X value of every horizontal pixel on the screen. The Y value
of any one specific X value can be obtained if required, and the
maximum absolute value of Y reached, together with the X value which
produces it, is also given. X limits may be specified in either
multiples of pi or in units; 247401 bytes. |

Muliple Matrix Calculator
John Alexiou |
| MtxCalc v2 allows the user to create
and edit multiple matrices in a inconic list format. Arithmetic
operations between the matrices can be performed using drag and drop
operations into special boxes. There is no specific size limit, nor
a limit to the number of matrices stored; 441812 bytes |

Spreadsheet validates accuracy of test methods
Simon Hill |
| This is an Excel spreadsheet which can be used to validate the
accuracy of a test method. It can be used to determine if a
measurement has significant operator error and/or equipment error.
The procedure requires three different operators to measure 10
different parts three times as part of a blind study. The
spreadsheet calculates the relative error for each operator and
gives a pass or fail remark for each person/combination of persons.
The spreadsheet needs to know the range in the specification for the
measurement. In this way, the program knows how accurate you really
need to be, i.e. it checks that you are not using a hammer to crack
a peanut! (or over-expensive equipment). The pass/fail criteria is
based on an assumption that the average error should be no more than
20% of the specification range - which is used in industry; 322882
bytes |

Graphing and analyzing functions
Alexander Minza |
| FNGraph draws the graphs of
mathematical functions. The MDI interface and the support of several
graphs in a window greatly simplify the process of studying the
functions properties. It also has a lot of features for view
customization: drawing interval and precision, color, style. The
final result can be copied to the clipboard or printed directly from
the application; 331284 bytes |
