JadeIDE is a "lite" Integrated Development Environment for Java. It supports the invocation of a source code editor, a web browser, and a HTML editor of your choice and it provides a GUI for the most important tools of the SUN Java JDK. In addition, JadeIDE supports the generation of an HTML file to invoke applets, the testing of Java applications and code generation for Java "Dialog" subclasses. JadeIDE is written in Java to be platform independent, and may therefore also run in a Linux environment. JadeIDE is completely bilingual (English and German); 632770 bytes.

Java IDE

JDK Commander is a tools integration
program designed as an entry level Java development tool for
Microsoft Windows PCs. It complements Sun's Java Development Kit (JDK)
by wrapping the JDK in a graphical user interface. It was written by
someone who appreciated the functionality of the tools in the JDK,
but was frustrated by the awkward DOS command line interface. The
design goals were Absolutely no interactive DOS windows. No command
line interface except where unavoidable: Only the jdb debugger
requires command line interaction. No installation problems.
Flexibility in using multiple versions of JDK. Support for multiple
public classes in a single source file. Although this does not
conform to the standards established by Sun, this feature has been
implemented (with an appropriate warning) for compatibility with
other Java development tools; 331772 bytes.
