ODBC access ActiveX component
Jorgen Grosbol, ISS Data |
| OdbcTestX ActiveX
component allows easy database access from any ActiveX enabled
programming language under Win95/98/2000 or NT without having to
include database access modules in our code (except for the
standard ODBC32.DLL). You can call the component from Visual C++,
Visual Basic, Delphi, J++ and others. The component issues SQL
statements to any 32-bit ODBC data source. Result sets from select
statements are read one row at a time. The component also allows
you to get lists of all available ODBC data sources, all tables in
a data source and all columns in a table (including length and
format information). Error messages are reported directly to your
program from the ODBC driver without any translation. The
component itself has no visible user interface, so you have to
supply the GUI yourself using your chosen programming language.
Sample VB source is included; 111347 bytes. |
